Automation enhances agility and implementing it is often a significant, although not mandatory part of the Agile journey of many organizations. It is important to optimize the execution time of the automated build and the regression suite as this build may be triggered multiple times per day by different developers committing their code to the shared repository. The automated build should take no longer than 15 minutes to execute completely, otherwise it will become a bottleneck. To accomplish such time, certain tests may need to be excluded from the suite and run for example during a nightly build.
